In its most recent report, it was noted that incursions by Israeli forces on Sunday, November 17, 2024, resulted in the tragic deaths of 35 individuals and left 143 more injured. These figures underscore the severe impact of the ongoing conflict on civilian populations, particularly vulnerable groups such as women and children.

The report highlights a grave concern regarding the systematic targeting of Lebanon’s healthcare infrastructure. Since the onset of hostilities, Israeli occupation forces have shown a blatant disregard for international law and humanitarian principles.

The Ministry of Public Health has documented attacks on 66 hospitals across the country, which are critical lifelines for those in need of medical care. Furthermore, 225 emergency responders have also faced aggression, hampering their ability to provide essential services during a time of crisis.

This sustained assault on Lebanon’s health sector not only exacerbates the immediate suffering of those injured but also poses long-term challenges for the nation’s healthcare system. Hospitals are overwhelmed with casualties, and medical staff are working under extreme pressure with limited resources.

The ongoing violence has led to significant disruptions in medical supply chains, further complicating efforts to treat the wounded and manage public health concerns.

As the situation continues to unfold, calls for international action to protect civilians and uphold their rights under international law grow louder.
